In Mobile Devices performers carry sound making devices hidden inside sculptural representations of the sound. Performers mingle around Lewis Street letting their sounds and sculptures interact informally with each other and with the environment. At the command of an on-site conductor, small temporary gatherings of performers will layer their sounds and sculptures. Mobile Devices draws inspiration from the devices that fill our pockets and romantic picnics with sudden and disembodied eruptions of sound.
