Installation in two moments. The first moment is a giant plastic cube with the words “ Why, can`t I…?” written on it. This cube will be bouncing and passed among the people on the street, so people can write (with sharpies provided) on it, things that they wish they could do on the street or public realm but are not allowed to. My intentions is to gather those wishes that people would like to do in public space but for some reason are not allowed to… The second moment will be a table where the artist will be sitting down explaining why or where could these wishes come true due to feasibility on legislation
Artist Info
The artist was born in México City, 1984. She got her BA in Communication and her masters in Art and Design of Public Space in Barcelona. Working on art projects in public spaces since 2007, she collaborates with iDENSITAT a non-profit focused on art and public space and has been involved in city planning projects and participation processes in Mexico City and Guadalajara. Her work focuses on the relationship between everyday life, art, and how they affect our use of the public realm
