Art in Odd Places Resource Meeting – June 7, 2011

On June 7, the Art in Odd Places (AiOP) team met with the selected artists for this year’s festival at Parson’s New School of Design. It was an opportunity to discuss the logistics of the upcoming festival and to meet everyone. Ed Woodham (AIOP director), Lucia Warck-Meister (Festival Producer) and our two curators, Kalia Brooks and Trinidad Fombella, facilitated the meeting , addressing all matters concerning the festival.
Afterwards, everyone had the chance to mingle and get to know one another. We have a lot of new faces, and a few who had been part of AiOP before. A very productive meeting indeed.

We are excited to announce that a few people from the Art in Odd Places team will be a part of SVA’s “Reconfiguring Site” program happening this summer. Reconfiguring Site is a six week intensive program looking at interdisciplinary approaches to public art. Our very own Ed Woodham (AiOP Director), Lucia Warck Meister (AiOP 2011 Festival producer) and Erin Donnelly (previous Art in Odd Places curator) will participate as guest lecturers discussing the revitalization of public art.
